McGuire, Wood & Bissette Paralegal Beth Stallings Nominated for North Carolina Bar Association’s 2010 Distinguished Paralegal Award

Beth Stallings, a litigation paralegal with the Asheville, North Carolina law firm McGuire, Wood & Bissette, PA since 2001, was nominated for the 2010 Distinguished Paralegal Award by the North Carolina Bar Association. The Distinguished Paralegal Award recognizes outstanding achievements, professionalism and contributions by a North Carolina paralegal both professionally and personally within the recipient's community.

Stallings was nominated by her paralegal collegaue Victoria Townley, of the law firm Robert J. Deutsch, PA, who wrote: "Beth Stallings is an outstanding member of the legal community in Asheville . . . professional, enthusiastic and passionate about the legal field and furthering the status of paralegals and legal assistants in our area. Beth is a litigation paralegal for McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A., where she regularly assists her co-workers in addition to handling her own work load. Beth is never too busy to answer a question or provide insight or past experience on a legal matter. If she doesn’t know the answer, she always has suggestions on where to look or who to contact."

Beginning in March 2007, Stallings served a one year term as District VII Director of the North Carolina Paralegal Association. Stallings is also one of the founding members and a past president of the Asheville Area Paralegal Association, and has served in wide variety of its leadership positions and on several committees. She has tirelessly volunteered her time to help the organization offer low-cost continuing education seminars, procured speakers for the monthly meetings, organized and recruited for and attended volunteer and community service events such as the NCBA 4 All Call Event, Wills for Heros, and Habitat for Humanity.
